The Orangefield Bobcats (Orangefield, TX) basketball nipped the host Buna Cougars (Buna, TX), 52-51 in Wednesday's league test.
The Bobcats (22-5) will now prepare for their test against Hardin (Hardin, TX). The Hornets go into the 3A Region III District 22 test with a 3-18 record. In their last test, Hardin was tipped by Kountze (Kountze, TX), 82-30, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 12-14 record. They play next when they host Kirbyville for a 3A Region III District 22 test on Friday, January 27. Buna will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 52-50 league loss to East Chambers (Winnie, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-19.
