Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Chavez Titans (Delano, CA) and the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), saw Chavez's basketball squad hold off Shafter by a count of 55-53.

With the victory, Chavez upgrades its record to 17-6 on the campaign. The Titans travel to McFarland (McFarland, CA) to play the Cougars in a South Sequoia challenge on Friday, January 27. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-12. McFarland won 58-55 in their recent league challenge against Wasco (Wasco, CA)

Next up, the Generals play the Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) in a South Sequoia challenge, on Friday, January 27. Shafter will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 67-63 league loss to Kennedy (Delano, CA).
