In Wednesday's league outing, the Columbia River Rapids (Vancouver, WA) basketball squad edged the visiting Washougal Panthers (Washougal, WA), by a count of 69-63.
The Rapids (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against R.A. Long (Longview, WA). The Lumberjacks go into the 2A Greater St. Helens outing with a 14-3 record. In their last outing, R.A. Long held off Ridgefield (Ridgefield, WA), 54-50, in a league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Woodland for a 2A Greater St. Helens outing on Friday, January 27. Washougal will clash with a Beavers squad coming off a 71-40 league win over Hockinson (Brush Prairie, WA). The Beavers record now stands at 10-6.
