Lorenzo Hornets (Lorenzo, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Crosbyton Chiefs (Crosbyton, TX), 62-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Lorenzo upgrades its record to 19-8 on the season. The Hornets travel to Borden County (Gail, TX) to play the Coyotes in a 1A Region I District 6 bout on Friday, January 27. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Chiefs play the O'Donnell Eagles (O'Donnell, TX) in a 1A Region I District 6 bout, on Friday, January 27. Crosbyton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 65-23 league win over Wilson (Wilson, TX).
