The England Lions (England, AR) basketball felled the host Poyen Indians (Poyen, AR), 51-41 in Wednesday's league test.
The Lions (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR). The Panthers go into the 2A Region 5 test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Magnet Cove was beaten by Cutter-Morning Star (Hot Springs National Park, AR), 64-43, in a league test.
The Indians now own a 0-15 record. They play next when they travel to Jacksonville Lighthouse for a 2A Region 5 test on Friday, January 27. Poyen will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 60-32 non-league loss to Fountain Lake (Hot Springs National Park, AR). The Wolves record now stands at 3-14.
