The Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), 69-66 in Wednesday's league test.

The Pretzels (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Indians go into the Northern Illinois 10 test with a 4-19 record. In their last test, Hononegah was tipped by Guilford (Rockford, IL), 68-45, in a league test.

The J-Hawks now own a 5-16 record. They play next when they host Rockford East for a Northern Illinois 10 test on Friday, January 27. Jefferson will encounter a E-Rabs squad coming off a 54-53 league loss to Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL). The E-Rabs record now stands at 15-10.
