Sacred Heart Academy Irish (Mt. Pleasant, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Fulton Pirates (Middleton, MI), 49-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sacred Heart Academy upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Irish travel to Merrill (Merrill, MI) to play the Vandals in a Mid-State bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Vandals come into the bout with a record of 3-8.

Next up, the Pirates play the Montabella Mustangs (Blanchard, MI) in a Mid-State bout, on Friday, January 27. Fulton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
