In Wednesday's league outing, the Guthrie Jaguars (Guthrie, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Patton Springs Rangers (Afton, TX), by a margin of 85-51.

The Jaguars (2-11) will now prepare for their outing against Spur (Spur, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Region I District 5 outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, Spur smashed Paducah (Paducah, TX), 30-26, in a league outing.

The Rangers now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Jayton for a 1A Region I District 5 outing on Friday, January 27. Patton Springs will clash with a Jaybirds squad coming off a 81-4 league win over Motley County (Matador, TX). The Jaybirds record now stands at 19-1.
