The Holy Spirit Spartans basketball team (Absecon, NJ), was nudged 48-42 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Ocean City Raiders (Ocean City, NJ)
The Raiders now possess a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Middle Township for a Cape/Atlantic - United battle on Friday, January 27. Ocean City will confront a Panthers team coming off a 50-47 league loss to Egg Harbor Township (Egg Harbor Township, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 9-8.
The Spartans (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Millville (Millville, NJ). The Thunderbolts come into the non-league battle with a 13-4 record. In their last battle, Millville edged Hammonton (Hammonton, NJ), 53-51, in a league battle.
