South East Jaguars (South Gate, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Huntington Park Spartans (Huntington Park, CA), 68-50 in a league bout.

With the win, South East upgrades its record to 8-15 on the season. The Jaguars host Roosevelt (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Rough Riders in a Eastern bout on Friday, January 27. The Rough Riders go into the bout with a record of 10-13. Roosevelt won 50-42 in their recent league bout against Bell (Bell, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the New West Charter Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Huntington Park will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 0-0 league Stella High Charter Academy (Los Angeles, CA).
