Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA), 88-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Placer upgrades its record to 18-4 on the season. The Hillmen travel to Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA) to play the Bruins in a Foothill Valley bout on Friday, January 27. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 15-8. Ponderosa won 61-41 in their recent league bout against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA)

Next up, the Vikings play the West Park Panthers (Roseville, CA) in a Foothill Valley bout, on Friday, January 27. Oakmont will attempt to move on its 5-17 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 16-5 record after their 65-52 league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, CA).
