Emerald Ridge Jaguars (South Hill, WA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Olympia Bears (Olympia, WA), 53-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Emerald Ridge upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Rogers (Puyallup, WA) to play the Rams in a 4A South Puget Sound - South bout on Friday, January 27. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Rogers won 59-48 in their recent non-league bout against Curtis (University Place, WA)

Next up, the Bears play the Bethel Bison (Spanaway, WA) in a 4A South Puget Sound - South bout, on Friday, January 27. Olympia will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Bison come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 63-41 league win over Graham-Kapowsin (Graham, WA).
