Louisiana High School Basketball - False River overwhelmed by St. John

The St. John Eagles basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting False River Gators to 24 in the Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Iberville for a 1A District 8 contest on Friday, January 27. St. John will battle a Tigers team coming off a 63-32 non-league loss to St. Amant (St. Amant, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 13-13.
The Gators (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against Pitkin (Pitkin, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 22-12 record. In their last contest, Pitkin triumphed over Cecilia (Cecilia, LA), 65-31, in a non-league contest.
