Texas High School Basketball - Panhandle fells Farwell

Panhandle Panthers (Panhandle, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX), 50-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Panhandle upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Panthers host Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX) to clash with the Roughriders in a 2A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, January 27. The Roughriders go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Boys Ranch lost 53-37 in their recent league bout against Vega (Vega, TX)

Next up, the Steers clash with the Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 27. Farwell will attempt to upgrade on its 24-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 51-41 league win over Highland Park (Amarillo, TX).
