Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX), 50-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Olton upgrades its record to 12-14 on the season. The Mustangs host Sudan (Sudan, TX) to clash with the Hornets in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Friday, January 27. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 20-8. Sudan won 84-18 in their recent league bout against Ralls (Ralls, TX)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 bout, on Friday, January 27. Hale Center will attempt to upgrade on its 21-8 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 6-22 record after their 56-28 league loss to Lockney (Lockney, TX).
