Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV), 48-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Huntington upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Hurricane (Hurricane, WV) to clash with the Redskins in a Mountain State bout on Friday, January 27. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Hurricane lost 54-33 in their recent league bout against Cabell Midland (Ona, WV)

Next up, the Red Dragons clash with the Patrick Henry Patriots (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. St. Albans will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 70-45 league win over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA).
