St. Frances Academy Panthers (Baltimore, MD) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars (Baltimore, MD), 55-35 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Frances Academy upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Panthers host McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD) to play the Eagles in a IAAM A bout on Monday, January 30. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 17-2. McDonogh won 61-33 in their recent league bout against Pallotti (Laurel, MD)

Next up, the Cougars play the Roland Park Country Reds (Baltimore, MD) in a IAAM A bout, on Friday, January 27. Our Lady of Mount Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Reds go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 63-38 non-league win over New Town (Owings Mills, MD).
