Parkview Patriots (Little Rock, AR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Vilonia Eagles (Vilonia, AR), 54-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Parkview upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to ESTEM (Little Rock, AR) to play the Mets in a 5A Central bout on Saturday, January 28. The Mets come into the bout with a record of 0-22. ESTEM lost 60-9 in their recent league bout against Sylvan Hills (Sherwood, AR)

Next up, the Eagles play the Maumelle Hornets (Maumelle, AR) in a 5A Central bout, on Saturday, January 28. Vilonia will attempt to upgrade on its 15-4 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 81-32 league loss to Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR).
