Illinois High School Basketball - Kennedy can't hold off Juarez

The Juarez Eagles basketball team scored 24 points and held the visiting Kennedy Crusaders to 23 in the Eagles league triumph on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Muchin College Prep for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Juarez will battle a Mountain Lions team coming off a 25-7 league win over Bulls College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 1-3.
The Crusaders (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cristo Rey Jesuit (Chicago, IL). The Cristeros enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Cristo Rey Jesuit was nudged by Walther Christian Academy (Melrose Park, IL), 41-13, in a league contest.
