Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Indian Creek Timberwolves (Shabbona, IL), 46-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Genoa-Kingston upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season. The Cogs travel to Winnebago (Winnebago, IL) to play the Indians in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Winnebago won 63-48 in their recent non-league bout against Marengo (Marengo, IL)

Next up, the Timberwolves play the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Indian Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
