The Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) basketball nipped the visiting Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM), 56-53 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Monarchs (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Albuquerque got by Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 41-31, in a non-league test.
The Demons now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Capital for a non-league test on Saturday, January 28. Santa Fe will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 41-28 non-league win over Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-8.
