Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Deer Valley Skyhawks (Glendale, AZ) and the host Agua Fria Owls (Avondale, AZ), saw Deer Valley's basketball squad wallop Agua Fria by a tally of 71-28.

With the victory, Deer Valley improves its record to 20-2 on the campaign. The Skyhawks travel to Cactus (Glendale, AZ) to play the Cobras in a 4A West Valley challenge on Friday, January 26. The Cobras come into the challenge with a record of 17-3. Cactus won 62-28 in their recent league challenge against Estrella Foothills (Goodyear, AZ)

Next up, the Owls play the Peoria Panthers (Peoria, AZ) in a 4A West Valley challenge, on Friday, January 26. Agua Fria will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 71-57 league win over Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ).
