Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA), 64-51 in a league battle.

The Bulldogs now possess a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clarion-Goldfield for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 25.

The (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Webster City (Webster City, IA). The Lynx come into the North Central battle with a 3-8 record. In their last battle, Webster City beat St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA), 62-44, in a league battle.
