Virginia High School Basketball - Amelia County overwhelms Maggie Walker

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) and the host Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA), saw Amelia County's basketball squad wallop Maggie Walker by a tally of 85-42.

With the victory, Amelia County improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Raiders host Cumberland (Cumberland, VA) to play the Dukes in a James River challenge on Friday, January 26. The Dukes come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Cumberland won 66-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Fuqua (Farmville, VA)

Next up, the play the Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons (Petersburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Maggie Walker will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 0-17 record after their 64-31 league loss to Surry County (Dendron, VA).
