The Brantley County Herons basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Appling County Pirates to 54 in the Herons league triumph on Thursday.
The Herons now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vidalia for a AA Region 3 contest on Friday, January 26. Brantley County will battle a Indians team coming off a 52-44 league win over Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Indians record now stands at 15-5.
The Pirates (1-18) will now prepare for their contest against Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA). The Knights enter the AA Region 3 contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Windsor Forest ran past Pierce County (Blackshear, GA), 74-35, in a league contest.
