Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA), 69-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Assumption upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Knights host Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA) to play the Sabers in a Mississippi bout on Thursday, January 25. The Sabers come into the bout with a record of 5-6. Central Clinton lost 63-53 in their recent league bout against North Scott (Eldridge, IA)

Next up, the play the Bettendorf Bulldogs (Bettendorf, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Central DeWitt will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 49-43 league loss to Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA).
