The Union City Soaring Eagles basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Bayonne Bees to 43 in the Soaring Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

The Soaring Eagles now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a Hudson County - American contest on Saturday, January 27. Union City will meet a Lions team coming off a 49-21 non-league loss to Hoboken (Hoboken, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 4-16.

The Bees (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Memorial (West New York, NJ). The Tigers enter the Hudson County - American contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Memorial was nudged by Dickinson (Jersey City, NJ), 58-55, in a league contest.
