Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL), 58-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Benjamin Russell upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Auburn (Auburn, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 22-4. Auburn won 60-43 in their recent league bout against Opelika (Opelika, AL)

Next up, the Tigers play the Elmore County Panthers (Eclectic, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Chilton County will attempt to upgrade on its 16-16 season record.
