The Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) basketball crushed the host The Heights (Potomac, MD), 85-40 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (11-4) will now prepare for their test against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 9-11 record. In their last test, St. Mary's Ryken was trounced by McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD), 50-44, in a league test.
The now own a 0-16 record. They play next when they travel to Gonzaga for a DCSAA AA test on Friday, January 26. The Heights will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 87-45 non-league win over Dunbar (Washington, DC). The Eagles record now stands at 16-3.
