Gramercy Christian Warriors (Newport, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Calvary Baptist Church Eagles (New Bern, NC), 59-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gramercy Christian upgrades its record to 10-13 on the campaign. The Warriors host Christ Covenant (Winterville, NC) to play the Spartan in a Mid-Atlantic Christian - 2A South bout on Friday, January 26. The Spartan come into the bout with a record of 3-8. Christ Covenant lost 100-45 in their recent non-league bout against Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Mount Calvary Christian Academy Warriors (Hookerton, NC) in a Mid-Atlantic Christian - South bout, on Friday, February 2. Calvary Baptist Church will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record.
