The Centerville Big Reds/Redettes basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Cardinal Comets to 66 in the Big Reds/Redettes non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Big Reds/Redettes now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clarke for a South Central contest on Friday, January 26. Centerville will meet a Indians team coming off a 81-54 league win over Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Indians record now stands at 12-2.

The Comets (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Chariton (Chariton, IA). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Chariton was defeated by Albia (Albia, IA), 74-49, in a league contest.
