The Sumner Tigers basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Central Red Devils to 49 in the Tigers league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mattanawcook for a C North contest on Saturday, January 27. Sumner will meet a Lynx team coming off a 60-50 league loss to Calais (Calais, ME). The Lynx record now stands at 11-3.

The Red Devils (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lee Academy (Lee, ME). The Pandas enter the non-league contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Lee Academy was defeated by Stearns (Millinocket, ME), 54-51, in a league contest.
