Chavez Academy will confront a team coming off a 55-30 league win over Star International Academy (Dearborn Heights, MI). The record now stands at 9-3.

The (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Canton Preparatory (Canton, MI). The Chargers come into the Detroit Metro battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Canton Preparatory was overwhelmed by Trillium Academy (Taylor, MI), 64-26, in a non-league battle.
