Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cowanesque Valley Indians (Westfield, PA) and the visiting North Penn-Liberty Mountie (Liberty, PA), saw Cowanesque Valley's basketball squad hold off North Penn-Liberty by a count of 65-60.

With the victory, Cowanesque Valley upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Canton (Canton, PA) to play the Warriors in a Northern Tier challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-12.

Next up, the Mountie play the Canton Warriors (Canton, PA) in a Northern Tier challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. North Penn-Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 57-50 league loss to Northeast Bradford (Rome, PA).
