Desert Chapel Eagles (Palm Springs, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Weaver Monarchs (Murrieta, CA), 56-11 in a league bout.

With the victory, Desert Chapel upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Palm Valley (Rancho Mirage, CA) to play the FIREBIRDS in a Victory bout on Tuesday, January 30. The FIREBIRDS come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Palm Valley won 60-14 in their recent league bout against Noli Indian (San Jacinto, CA)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Joshua Springs Christian Lightning (Yucca Valley, CA) in a Victory bout, on Friday, January 26. Weaver will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Lightning come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 76-13 league loss to Palm Valley (Rancho Mirage, CA).
