Montgomery Tigers (Montgomery, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Dodson Panthers (Dodson, LA), 61-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Montgomery upgrades its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Northwood (Lena, LA) to play the Gators in a 1A District 3 bout on Friday, January 26. The Gators come into the bout with a record of 11-12.

Next up, the Panthers play the Georgetown Bulldogs (Georgetown, LA) in a C District 2 bout, on Friday, January 26. Dodson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-21 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 19-9 record after their 76-36 non-league loss to Pineville (Pineville, LA).
