The Grand Ledge Comets basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Everett Vikings to 57 in the Comets league victory on Thursday.

The Comets now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Lansing for a Capital Area - Blue contest on Tuesday, January 30. Grand Ledge will battle a Trojans team coming off a 62-54 non-league loss to Lincoln (Warren, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 13-1.

The Vikings (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sexton (Lansing, MI). The Big Reds come into the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Sexton edged Lansing Catholic (Lansing, MI), 70-55, in a league contest.
