Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Poyen Indians (Poyen, AR) and the visiting Jacksonville Lighthouse Wolves (Jacksonville, AR), saw Poyen's basketball squad wallop Jacksonville Lighthouse by a count of 70-35.

With the victory, Poyen upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Cutter-Morning Star (Hot Springs National Park, AR) to play the Eagles in a 2A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 21-3.

Next up, the Wolves play the Bigelow Panthers (Bigelow, AR) in a 2A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Jacksonville Lighthouse will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 50-27 league win over Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR).
