Mars Hill Bible Panthers (Florence, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tharptown Wildcats (Russellville, AL), 74-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mars Hill Bible upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Lexington (Lexington, AL) to play the Golden Bears in a 2A Area 16 bout on Friday, January 26. The Golden Bears come into the bout with a record of 7-10.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL) in a 2A Area 16 bout, on Friday, January 26. Tharptown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 0-16 record after their 48-33 league loss to Hatton (Town Creek, AL).
