Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Rice Lake Warriors (Rice Lake, WI) and the host Menomonie Mustangs (Menomonie, WI), saw Rice Lake's basketball squad overcome Menomonie by a tally of 55-42.

With the victory, Rice Lake improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Eau Claire Memorial (Eau Claire, WI) to confront the Old Abes in a Big Rivers challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Old Abes come into the challenge with a record of 13-4.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Monona Grove Silver Eagles (Monona, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Menomonie will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Silver Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 73-51 league win over Watertown (Watertown, WI).
