Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Skyline Hawks (Front Royal, VA), 67-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Meridian upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Liberty (Bealeton, VA) to play the Eagles in a Northwestern bout on Saturday, January 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Liberty won 54-40 in their recent league bout against Manassas Park (Manassas Park, VA)

Next up, the Hawks play the Brentsville District Tigers (Nokesville, VA) in a Northwestern bout, on Friday, January 26. Skyline will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record.
