Montgomery Cougars (Skillman, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball team achieve victory over the host North Hunterdon Lions (Annandale, NJ), 56-43 in a non-league battle.

The Cougars now possess a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherry Hill East for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Montgomery will confront a Cougars team coming off a 60-53 league loss to Eastern (Voorhees, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 6-11.

The Lions (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Immaculata (Somerville, NJ). The Spartans come into the Skyland - Delaware battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Immaculata beat Bridgewater-Raritan (Bridgewater, NJ), 70-61, in a non-league battle.
