North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA), 64-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Fayette Valley upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The travel to South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA) to play the Warriors in a Upper Iowa bout on Friday, January 26. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 11-5. South Winneshiek lost 58-51 in their recent league bout against Kee (Lansing, IA)

Next up, the Chickasaws play the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) in a Northeast Iowa bout, on Friday, January 26. New Hampton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 88-57 league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA).
