New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wabasso Rabbits (Wabasso, MN), 66-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Ulm Cathedral upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Greyhounds host Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (Hector, MN) to play the Mustangs in a A Section 2 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-16. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart lost 77-43 in their recent non-league bout against Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN)

Next up, the Rabbits play the Yellow Medicine East Sting (Granite Falls, MN) in a A Section 3 bout, on Friday, January 26. Wabasso will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Sting go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 66-20 league loss to Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN).
