The Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT) basketball nipped the host Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT), 73-66 in Thursday's league test.
The Bears (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT). The Spartans go into the Berkshire test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Shepaug Valley got by Litchfield (Litchfield, CT), 72-57, in a league test.
The Highlanders now own a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Terryville for a Berkshire test on Friday, January 26.
