The Okemah Panthers (Okemah, OK) basketball nipped the visiting Sequoyah Indians (Tahlequah, OK), 50-49 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Panthers (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Seminole (Seminole, OK). The Chieftains go into the 66 test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Seminole was tipped by Tecumseh (Tecumseh, OK), 75-62, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Keys for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Sequoyah will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 65-25 league win over Westville (Westville, OK). The Cougars record now stands at 12-2.
