The Port Edwards Blackhawks basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Wild Rose Wildcats to 45 in the Blackhawks league triumph on Thursday.

The Blackhawks now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blair-Taylor for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Port Edwards will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 87-30 non-league win over Coulee Region Christian (West Salem, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-10.

The Wildcats (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Rosholt (Rosholt, WI). The Hornets enter the Central Wisconsin - South contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Rosholt was defeated by Almond-Bancroft (Almond, WI), 73-19, in a league contest.
