St. Thomas Academy Cadets (Mendota Heights, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Two Rivers Warriors (Mendota Heights, MN), 72-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Thomas Academy upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN) to play the Packers in a AAA Section 3 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Packers come into the bout with a record of 6-10.

Next up, the Warriors play the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) in a AAA Section 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Two Rivers will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 61-53 non-league win over Cristo Rey Jesuit (Minneapolis, MN).
