The Velva Aggies basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Towner-Granville-Upham Titans to 53 in the Aggies league triumph on Thursday.
The Aggies now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Divide County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Velva will battle a Maroons team coming off a 74-28 league loss to Powers Lake/Burke Central (Powers Lake, ND). The Maroons record now stands at 0-13.
The Titans (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Westhope/Newburg (Westhope, ND). The Sioux enter the B District 8 contest with a 14-0 record. In their last contest, Westhope/Newburg ran past North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette] (Rolla, ND), 78-47, in a non-league contest.
