The Zane Trace Pioneers basketball team (Chillicothe, OH), was nudged 56-54 in Thursday's league battle with the host Westfall Mustangs (Williamsport, OH)

The Mustangs now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paint Valley for a Scioto Valley battle on Saturday, January 27. Westfall will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 59-58 league loss to Huntington (Chillicothe, OH). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-12.

The Pioneers (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Piketon (Piketon, OH). The Redstreaks come into the Scioto Valley battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Piketon edged Southeastern (Chillicothe, OH), 38-33, in a league battle.
